@I know favoritism never stops, my mother always loved my sister more than me and even on my birthdays or when I graduated or got my PHD it never changed, it was never enough cause my sister got married to a wealthy man and that is better than me getting a doctorate. Too much about me. Just be yourself, don't base your happiness on your parents approval. I get you, once upon a time all I wanted was my parents love too but it's a toxic love if all they do is humilliate you. If they hurt your feelings you can detach yourself from them emotionally, even if you still live together, you can choose to treat them as people who live with you and not family. Your feelings always come first.
