1/ he's focusing on his life i think. And when people focus something on their life they ignore everything except their goal. Especially a guy who's didn't achive his dream.
OR
2/ he loss intrest in you just like we loss intrest on our old clothes. ..
.. anyway as you said he's fixing his habit.. i would say 1st cause is more likely the case.
.. as percentage i would say 60/40 ..
