During the ball the lights suddenly go out and chaos erupts. Mehen senses that the palace’s magical barrier has been disturbed. People begin disappearing, seemingly swept away by something invisible. The Arellin loses consciousness and wakes up in a distorted version of the Sharit Mansion. She realizes she has been transported to the Otherworld, a shadow realm that exists alongside reality. The environment looks twisted and reversed in color, making it dangerous.
Leslie (I don't remember this kid. Maybe she appeared during tea party or something 🤔) who was also pulled into the Otherworld, panics after seeing something invisible and runs away screaming.
Arel wanted to follow but cannot because she is physically weak and injured. Alone and frightened, she wonders how she will escape and quietly wishes Mehen would come save her. In a vulnerable moment, she even thinks of her mother. Meanwhile, Valar investigates the disturbance in the palace. He checks the imperial defense crystal and confirms it hasn’t been damaged, meaning the disruption was caused by something unusual—possibly something beyond normal human interference.

A rift to the Otherworld appears. While others see it as extremely dangerous, Valar learns from Sloth that his daughter has been swept into it. Without hesitation, Valar enters the rift, ignoring warnings from a star wizard named Robert. Because of his power and experience, the Otherworld cannot affect his sanity like it would a normal human.
