If you had even a basic understanding of psychology, you’d see that the blond mf simply exploited Chiwoo’s vulnerability to bind him to himself. This ending clearly shows how toxic and unhealthy their relationship is. And the fact that most readers feel discomfort and rejection toward it only proves that it’s the story, not the audience.
I sincerely hope the author isn’t romanticizing this, although I wouldn’t be surprised — many of her colleagues tend to deny or downplay rаре in their works because acknowledging it can hurt sales. But I think that’s not the case here, since the author gave us an ending where all the horror was just a bad dream and Chiwoo ends up happy with Jihyun.
