When the drugs made him like the star maiden, he was quick to use the incident to try and put her in 'her place' and publically humiliate her for her crimes despite her position as his childhood friend, fiance and the next queen of the country. Part of the reason he was even fond of the star maiden was that she was so stupid and tacky he felt comfortable and superior around her.
