@Ash well it depends on each person like for example there's this festival called holi where ppl play with water and powder colours and I absolutely hate being dowsed in colour which most ppl during this particular day are cool with but not me like dare to put any colour on me and I'll be freaking out and screaming my lungs out at you and say every curse word I know, however if it were one of my friends in this situation then they'd be ecstatic to join the fun and be covered head to toe in colour and mind you if the colour isn't a bad quality one then it'd be he** to remove it from your skin and especially your clothes like if you mistakenly wear your favourite shirt on that day and get caught off guard then that clothe's done for.

@Yewik Chettri I might be being insensitive but can't you just not participate in the festival then like don't go to the festival location or something

@Ash oh that's js an example like I do try my best not to leave the house that day at all but let's say at times when I do have to leave such as like going to other relatives house for a family gathering cause that's what festivals are for, oh and also there's no place like location for this festiva like it's happening everywhere in every street and house so there's almost no avoiding it with kids around who do not listen so I hope you get my point here. I don't consider it insensitive to be told not to participate cause you didn't know properly of the festival and it is what I do avoid it, but for other cases like maybe when some ppl have phobias and you may unknowingly blurt out smth very hurtful to them and think that they're being dramatic, that's when you're actually being insensitive.

@Ash also if u don't go for the celebration (like if u don't even apply a tiny amt of colour) u r considered being disrespectful and rude so u have to participate a bit.
