@MD Sub this reminds me of when I read back to school, a bl manhwa that involved a love triangle. I don't know their names but one was a blonde hair ml and the other was black hair ml (will call them blonde and black respectively), they were both red flags. Blond was manipulative and didn't respect boundaries, while black was physically abusive and could not take no for an answer. People who were team black hated the blond's guts and labeled him as toxic and unredeemable. It went so far they would verbally attack people who were fans of Blond just bc they didn't like him. They would berate everything that blond does while justifying black actions on his poor upbringing. When blond and mc had a s** scene, anti blonds called it ra** when it wasn't. I haven't read YTC but to answer your question, its probably just appearance. As long as they. are hot and buff (bonus if they have thick eyebrows and black hair) females readers will love them and everything they do. So its not really a measure of toxicity, more so a measure of how hot they are.
if you can't separate fiction from reality, don't talk to me

@gwvgweihcviwe i disagree cuz sometime we don't love them because of their appearance.
Sometime u like character just cuz it remained u by yourself or u just understand their feeling or maybe cuz u think if you were in there shose u would do the same
