Comment on ChapterHanninmae no Koibito - Chapter 32
Isn't this around the time when most folks (their age) would be proposing? Looking for a place then moving in together? Hanging out with each other's family on the regular? Going on overnight trips? Subscribing to wedding magazines?

But... here we are. Beet red & struggling to call each other by their first names? Slow burn anyone?

It is kinda slow but marriage is way a lot further down the road
moving in together, making sure you click and where you don't, understanding and/or compromise, growth etc
Meeting the parents is a normal thing but it isn't the event that triggers that one important step

So I` d say they're a bit slow but not far off from the ideal couple time table

kinda of, Ibuki still in college and doesn't have a stable job. I guess that a marriage would come after he graduate also. For now this form of relationship is not weird.

@Rafael Nascimento Sampaio I mean I agree it's a little slow, manga tend to do that, but marriage? Everyone I know has waited at least 2-3 years, some a lot more. I mean waiting 10 years is disrespectful, but being sure of your partner does need a little time, and living together is also quite the difference for a relationship.

also Japanese culture is different from Occidental ones. Like here we are used to kiss and sometimes even going further on a first date, some Japanese couples don't even share the same bed after marriage.

So for Japanese standards it might not be slow at all.

The weird thing is that it isn't like they don't wanna, some media does portrait some characters craving for that.

Like for us marriage might have a different meaning altogether than for them. Like our parties and receptions instead of something more quieter and reserved that seems to be the norm over there.
