I get that (as I said in my previous comment). I have read the whole story so far and I don't want to burden anyone with my OWN opinion.
All I am saying is that there are ample of stories following a similar plot line, but very few actually are able to create a situation where the fm is not suffering from chronic victim syndrome. Also I don't understand why her overly kind personality should be paired with childlike aloofness and naivety? There are quite a few examples where writers think that combining the two (kindness and naivety) makes the best formula for a FM? Also why do personality traits such as resourcefulness and cunningness (when it comes to female characters) should evoke negative connotations and be used mainly for the personification of villains or not so positive characters?  I think that mixing purity with immaturity and infantilism is the wrong way to go.

But back to the story:
Of course that it portrays the vision of the author and the character they invision, but in my humble opinion this kind of weak damsel in distress narrative is getting way too old and predictable. The whole concept of her hating herself, doubting her own abilities and being always so insecure and unable to stand up for herself is kinda pathetic. We have been enduring it for this many chapters to see little to no progress and it will probably take this many until she finally breaks out of her shell.
Her utter inability to realize that she can be in control of her own destiny and her not being able to understand (even after three years as you pointed out) that there are people who trully care about her, who have shown her nothing but unconditional love and warmth is laughable, borderline offensive to all of them. Her not realizing Riftan loves her, letting ppl get to her and tell her otherwise.... For me this is really insufferable(from a 3rd person view). I wont be commenting on her miscarriage, only thing I will say: it was fuc*** up that nobody told her on time and let it hit her only when she was on her own. This adds a nuance to this chapter but I am just speaking on her overall character( but the miscarriage situation was hard and unsettling).
But those are things that are out of my control. The webtoon follows the plot of the novel and also the artist has their own way of reimagining the narrative. I will continue reading it even with all of the dislike I have expressed.
Again I repeat myself this might me just a me problem and I acknowledge the fact that I have read one too many stories with similar plot so for me this story lacks uniqueness when it comes to character building of the female lead.

@mars✨ you said it all, "damsel in distress" is exactly the way to put it. Gurl to sur it up i will keep on reading but i'm fuc**** tired !!! 

Even in this chapter i thought she would have at least screamed his name for him to notice her or such; but nothing !! Lets not forget she learned about magic too but she doesn't even try to get away or do something !
So fuc**** frustrating 

For the naive trait, i hate it so much like gurl you see your hubby down there with the whole squad, plus the guard that wants you to stay inside for them not to see you plus you know your father doesn't want you any good but you don't come to the conclusion that your man is here to get you back at all costs and so you need to help a bit in this manner ?! This is too much
