@Mangabliss yeah ethan is obviously punishing the wrong person for all the suffering that he had to endure... But I think so he also wanted that love from the parents that hugo recieved and hence when he saw a opportunity to take away all that love from hugo and cause the parents to suffer too he acted on that...

Ik a kid needs parents affection
But not getting that affection doesnt mean to harbour content on someone else's happiness enough to endanger their life
What he did could've been justified if it didnt touch that limit....but he was far gone the moment he ignored the boundaries
