@excaliburjak The Church has made serious mistakes, but reducing 2,000 years of history to "nothing but ra** and plunder" is inaccurate: it has also preserved knowledge, founded hospitals, and established universities. Like Islam (with its conquests as well as its scientific golden age), Buddhism (with its peace as well as violence in Sri Lanka and Myanmar), or political atheism (with its emancipatory ideals as well as deadly totalitarian regimes), no major human institution is perfect. All carry both shadows and lights. To generalize is to ignore the complexity of historyNever underestimate the greatness of human history. Get some knowledge.
