Maybe an unpopular opinion but she doesn't actually care about him. If she really cared, she wouldn't lie to him and hurt him. She's selfish, and I'm starting to really not like her. I was going to say "she doesn't deserve him" but I don't like that wording because he/she isn't something to earn or deserve.
anyway! Just my two cents, dislike away, but eff the FL. This started so good and I'm going to start chapter picture skimming instead of actually reading if this drags out.
@Nyaa yeah we've flip flopped so much and iseop is the only one who has any development. Which is why it's so sad to see her hurt him like this, he's just gonna close himself off again
@Venaldre I partially agree with you. I feel she does care for him. But she is just "selfish". I dint know why y'all think to love him she has to throw everything she has built away for him. When at the end of the day she will be the one who has to deal with the consequences and I feel that's why she is ending it like this so she does not drag him down with her. Because we all know that he would throw everything away for her.
@WhoiusShe you make good points and I do agree that the only part of her perspective I do understand, especially as a woman, is having all your achievements disregarded because they will be seen through a lens of “she got there because of him.”
I also remember this is a manhwa and if they communicate properly, we wouldn’t have a story. Haha because I just want to scream to talk to him. She’s not being selfless by making his decision for him because she knows he’d throw everything away for her and therefore she’s protecting him by not bringing him down with her. That’s romantic and good, but he deserves the agency to make that decision for himself. It’s definitely complicated and you’ve given me a lot of thought though.
