@OtakauHERE 😂 As a professional writer with a master's degree in literature, I can confidently say that this is shìt, lazy writing. 

I understand the concept of slow burns; however, if you, as a writer, can't write a better reason for the slow burn other than "I have all you need, but I'll tell you later," then your writing is absolute shít.

If he can't tell her everything now, the writer should have created a logical reason why:

-The seal can't be located if others know ML's identity 

-ML knows if FL finds out about everything she will die because the emperor will have nothing to lose. 
So ML needs to be in power to kill the emperor before she knows anything. 

-There's a curse that prevents him from showing his true self until he holds the seal

Etc.... etc... there are soooooo many ways to make a slow burn that's not... well... I guess I'll tell you later.
