It seems it kills neurons while doing so, leading to an extreme diversity of simptoms. Cardiac arrest is just one among many. From skin deceases to joints destruction, obesity, senility, depression, tooth falling off, colon inflamation and dozens more.
It's not comestible, but like dust or the wood of a cherry's core, the body can manage small amounts. In a world full of pollutants, this amount can be the difference between symptomless and death, or worse.
There is no excuse to add any of that stuff into our food especially to make a few bucks over people over eating. This is downrignt evil.
