Ch. 96

Is this really a concern for korean movie culture? I can't picture at all how the chemistry from their previous work together would possibly affect another movie... Maybe it's because this whole "actor's image" trope I see in every acting manhwa makes no sense to me

He did not, in fact, think this through...

@Shinzo I came to comment this too. I also can't grasp it because an actor is someone who needs to do multiple roles and with variety of people or even same people. There previous works shouldn't have anything to do with it as long as you don't see the shadow of it. Why would they confine an actor to a set image with another actor. No offence, but it kinda makes people seem a little dumb, if they care so much about it. (Idk if i was able to convey what i wanted to say)

@Shinzo I kind of get it
And you have to take in account that the two movies are « related »
It’s like watching Cinderella  and then you watch a movie with the pov of the step sister but the actor playing the stepmother is now the Fairymother
Personally I will be confuse 🤣 especially if the first movie was incredibly good

@MrsKangSiwoo Hm... I was under the impression that it was only because their previous work together was a history drama. So, I was confused thinking "does this mean they can't do another history drama ever?" lol

@MrsKangSiwoo this is how it's viewed.
Look at the marvel universe, Chris Evans plays Johnny Storm of the fantastic four but also Captain America. They hard a hard time casting him a second time. Ryan Reynolds was the Green lantern and deadpool but that's DC-Marvel casting someone in two stories with the same settings with two of the same actors in a new dynamic would certainly make people think of the first work they watched.

@Shinzo it's because in one they were closer than family and in the other they are family who are mortal  enemies. It's hard not to see them as the characters who loved each other unless the acting is very well done. Think of any celebrity couple and then you see them fighting after seeing them in love for so long. It would just land differently.
