@Bibiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I think the treatment is actually the current state they are now. Since the disorder affects empathy, they probably tried to "reverse it" by inducing "artificial altruism" with some sort of conditioning. It didn't actually fix the disorder, it silenced it over with now an obsession of being helpful to its borderline, still psychotic, levels.
It's no wonder the rest of the patients died, they probably couldn't handle not being useful.
