I thought that she smiled about her getting him all to herself so that she could fill her quota fastest... but it looks like she smiled about knowing that the "dead" girls had simply returned to they're previousee lives. I gues that that was all she wanted. Not a very pleasent way to get there though. You have to be VERY determined to cut deep enough to actually finish yourself off, and for that she would have needed something much sharper than she was likely to have access too... werd
