I'm so confused, the imperial/royal family name is Romanoff (Romanov), suggesting them being the last Tsar family, thereby the rulers of Russia, this aligns with them being in war because of the Crimm Peninsula, on the other hand, they're now celebrating in London, their war also had a hospital in Prague, meaning Czechoslovakia.
The empire's name is "Brittia empire", which could both be the mythological island of the blessed (Where dead come) from Greek mythology also called "Brittia" or the actual island outside of the low lands (Netherlands and Belgium) where people are buried, however this island is small and not exactly something to name an empire after.
The Franconian empire is in the area of Germany known as "Franken" which aligns up with the Franconian Empire attacking and being the closest empire when there was an outbreak in the hospital in Prague, however, if the Brittia Empire is from Britain and the low lands, how would they get to Prague? That would be a very weird position to have a military hospital in.

Additionally, what time are we even in? The medical facilities are very developed, to the point of the rooms looking like modern hospital rooms, however, they don't have the same technological equipment such as scanners, nor are the outsides very developed.
There are also lots of fights with swords, but they have developed guns, however, most of the guns are revolvers, but there was also an AK-47 on the flag of the Imperial Gun divisions flag, the AK-47 gun was developed in 1947?
On top of that, the pistol the Nicholas guy (Scorpion of the desert) pulled out looked like a Colt M1911 which was developed in 1911.
Also, the imperial fleet was in the black sea, how exactly did the prince and Elise manage to escape all that way from Prague in just a few days, with very little supplies?
It was actually confusing for me too. The time (year) wasn't clearly identified. It would be easier to understand the flow of the story if the time was identified. It seemed to be that they're advancing too fast.
In the field of medicine, they are already using scalpes and some medical equipments. The scalpel was first made at 1915 and such equipments shouldn't look like that; if they we're to use equipments as such it shall not look like that.
In the field of war Nicholas and his men used guns and cannons while Prince Linden and his army used swords. It was an obvious fact that a difference between a gun and sword is to high. If you would think, a bullet is not something you could easily dodge and defend yourself from. Yet the prince's army managed to fight the despite the difference.
It's just my theory.. I think the invertor of medical equipments and the AK-47 were made by someone in the future. Considering what happened to Elise, of her coming back to past maybe it's the same thing for the inventor.. Maybe they were reborn in the past like Elise with the knowledge of the future that's why they were able to have advance technologies
