Is there a reason why she would grab a pair of scissors rather than a large kitchen knife to defend herself? I feel like I've seen this in other manga as well and it's never really make sense to me.

The art is gorgeous but I'm honestly very unhappy with the way the Duke seems to thoughtlessly humiliate the FL. Forcing her kneel in front of him on blo*** knees by stepping on her belongings. Taking/ruining her posessions when she has nothing and he has everthing. I find him very disgusting and will probably end up hoping the FL dies just to make him miserable. (This hope never comes true but I hope it anyway) I'm not overly fond of the FL at this point either. She seems to be way to naive/innocent/passive for a girl who're been through so much as a child. If it keeps going like this, it looks like the best I can hope for is a happyish ever after with her becoming his mistress while he uses her and never actually treats her well.

The love scenes are so tastefully done!  I sometimes get frusterated when it takes forever for the MCs to become physically involved, then it's glossed over in such an extreme manner that you don't even know if it really happened afterwards
