@Aki I don't like happy go lucky revenge stories like that either. What I like is the mc starting over again and doing all he can to protect what's left, meeting new people, making better friends and letting go of the hatred because it's beneath him. In this specific case I would find more interesting if the mc protected the defenseless humans and build his own kingdom. In this scenario he would have no choice but to cut the root of all evil acting in the name of justice instead or revenge. Thinking about the bigger picture instead of the few thugs that betrayed him.

@Rick D. Roll What else can she do? She doesn't have a penny, don't know anyone, belongs to race that suffers great prejudice and have the background of a slave that would likely be exploited or sold again. It really was her only option.

@RimewindPhoenix If she said "I quit" and left I'm not sure if she could still be an adventurer, at least not with the same name. She carries the noble family's name and their backing. Would another guild be able to shield her from the consequences? I don't think the Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky could, they depend a lot from their backers. And the hero's party was the strongest group until Orin was kicked out, whoever is backing that group might be on par with that status or even be more influential. Orin was able to leave because it was the hero's decision to kick him out and like the noble said they don't care about him. It was probably this group that suggested to throw Orin out, it doesn't seem that the hero is that capable of thinking for himself.

@masayuki Are you serious? It's so common these days. What isn't common is make the girl fall in love with the mc after that.

@TotallyAbsurd Didn't you noticed? The adults in the story mentioned it was too early for Chelsea to get married. Even the appraiser is conflicted with what kind of relationship he has with her.
