we already know he was broken from the start and then he suddenly felt love from someone other than his mother for the first time and then his heart got broken and then the emperor gave him false hope and betrayed him by killing his mother. After that he kept going back and forth with these two emotions- 1. Sadness 2.anger
he was so fed up of being manipulated and deceived to the point he couldn't express nor feel anything. And then He kys.
tbh I'm wondering why he didn't do it (not that I want him to) earlier or thought of that earlier bc if I ever him I would hav done that. Like comparing my life and problems to his I feel like I was raised in a royal family or something.

@W A N G Yi I mean the timeline of this story is very far in the past I believe it is around before people started to think women were witches which is around 1500bc-1600bc so I believe it is very logical as back then China and other countries were believing made up superstitions (and still do with some of them)
