I am fuc**** done with that mc. I am officially numb to his suffering.
We literally don't know sh** guys, come on!
Edit: I thank the person telling me it was confirmed by the author on social media, I don't follow them here and the comments were unclear as to where they got that information from. So my bad guys, that's on me.
This is in moments like these that I see how vastly laws can differ from country to country. In mine, that sh** would never happen because only direct family would be able to receive "compensation money", meaning parents and children of the person. The uncles and aunts and even siblings are considered "collateral" and are not entitled to anything. They would only in the case of an actual succession on the things the deceased person owned, and they would only because they would be the only ones left, and even then, they wouldn't gain much because the further in the bloodline of the deceased you are, the more you have to pay taxes on the amount you're supposed to receive.
That's why Korean succession laws always completely baffle me.
Also, I was wondering if him and Philip got close during their forced cohabitation in space, but from what I gathered in this chapter, it doesn't really seem to be the case: Philip seems to have slept most of the time in the capsule and waking up only occasionally while Sahan took it upon himself to be the one mostly awake because there only was that one capsule. He was left on his own devices and had to deal with that tremendous mental and psychological strain all by himself, and yes, there's admittedly something beautiful to find in the fact he factorised Heegeon's birthday as a prime number to keep himself sane but at the end of the day it's a horrifying last resort to turn to because he was the stronger one of the twos.
And now that they're back and Philip is still pulling sh** like this, I do hope he will stand by his decision to not accommodate the ones who gave him a measly million dollars (yes I am STILL hung up on that) for his troubles and still seek to exploit his kindness for their selfish convenience. You make BILLIONS, you can pay for the best specialists in the WORLD to take care of your traumatized offspring, don't keep trying to use their accidental spacemate as a free therapist. Fuc**** rich people, EAT THEM FOR REAL.
That's the issue I have so far with Tei: as I commented on a previous chapter already, Tei doesn't ask questions, and it's doing nothing to solve the communication issues, so the misunderstandings keep piling up. He's very passive for now, probably thinking he's powerless anyway, but it's not by answering his own questions that he's going to get actual answers and clarifications about the overall situation, be it his or Shuraka's. I find it very frustrating lol

It's fine, it's fine, I understand x) I sometimes worry too if I am expressing myself correctly because English isn't my first language to be honest...
I completely agree with your explanation, this chapter was all about symbolism and the parallels with Mellia's tale, which is heartbreaking because Shuraka was busy surviving and as a result has had no time to experience a deeper understanding of what love can be like. It's obvious he was a child that had to grow too fast, and that's why he still clings to things of comfort from his childhood (Tei, Tei telling him fairy tales from his homeland), because his adult life has none. The very fact he was relieved he "didn't have to stay a child" to be loved shows he probably hates his adult self because he was never shown actual love as one so far; he only remembers being cherished as a child, and he was clearly afraid Tei wouldn't like his adult self.
For now, he doesn't have the means to understand that love doesn't need to be romantic to be strong, and that's why he gave Tei that heartbreaking response: you don't love me as a romantic partner, so you wouldn't be able to find me. There's a mountain of other things to say about that statement and what it says about how was the last decade for him, but we'll have to see how horrifying exactly in the future chapters...
