@Kya Jeremy confirms his romantic feelings for Shuri to Nora during their fight. He's in love with Shuri but would never cross the line and act on those feelings because they would only hurt Shuri and put her in danger. And that's why he acknowledges that NNora can show his love without restraint, he can do things for Shuri Jeremy can never.

She's not his mother, she's a teenage girl and his feelings for her are an acknowledgment of that.

@I hate love triangle I'm not trying to make him out to be controlling, or make him out to be a bad person. Actually, I like him as a character.

But he does want money, and he likes the power. It started off with just getting by and keeping each other safe, but it quickly became more than that for him. He says it in one of the many flashbacks. He doesn't want to give up what he's worked for, and there's nothing wrong with that.

And did I say he was trying to chain Ian? I don't think I said that. I didn't say that anywhere in my comment.

He was dating and even potentially marrying a woman to stay in the gang and to keep up an image. He hung around with women to show that he was straight. Being gay in a gang gets you treated like Ian. If he showed it, he'd lose the respect and power he's worked so hard to gain.

He's not doing all of this for Ian. Yes, Ian is and definitely was his motivation, but to say he only does it for him is just wrong.

You'v deeply misunderstood and assumed things about my comment. Never did I say he was selfish, or that he didn't sacrifice, i'm saying he will not give up what he's worked for. Ian and TJ have different goals in life, and that's been the point of contention in the entire story.

@Whatever I mean I agree with yo for the most part but Ian has made it clear to TJ that they were over in season 1. He was tired of TJ trying to have both Ian and the gang and he wanted out. TJ's the one that's holding on so badly. Jo has always been the endgame so idk why everyone thinks TJ and Ian are getting back together😭😭

TJ destroyed Ian's career. He sent those gangsters there to stop him from achieving his dreams. He wanted him stuck in the gang to rot in there with him. And as the other commenter said, brutally killed is a wild take. It was self defense, the guy was literally trying to kill him, it was kill or be killed. And lastly "necessary to keep ian close" BINGO!!! You hit the nail on the head and then completely missed the entire point of TJ's monologue in this chapter. TJ has been holding Ian back every step of the way. Ian has moved on from the past while TJ refused and dragged him back. TJ has quite literally destroyed anything Ian could have achieved and kept him stuck with him
