@Just a Reader Girl, you're a maniac. Get help. You do get that all of those thousands of fake votes you've left on all these people's comments show up on the notifications, right? I mean you must know since you're clearly voting on your own. Everyone who's left a comment you've gone on a rampage on knows it's fake. We see that the real votes comes from accounts with names at different times, meanwhile your fake stuff shows up as dozens upon dozens of anonymous angry votes at the same moment?

And for anyone wondering why Ian is planning to leave TJ, even though they're constantly sleeping with each other... Well so far we've found out that TJ ruined Ian's leg and future as an athlete, which Ian secretly knows but was too scared of confronting him about, both slept around with others instead of committing to a relationship with each others, TJ put him in severe debt through Jason (we don't know if Ian knows TJ was behind that) so Ian had to continue to commit crimes against his will, so he couldn't leave the gang that made Ian a murderer and made him think they're all monsters including himself, a life that made him feel like he deserves bad karma, has put his life in danger, and made him unable to fall asleep without s**. They have until now been together for 19 years and during that time shared such an unhappy life together that Ian even was a drug addict at one point... So Ian believes they can only be happy if they're apart and therefore got plans to disappear.

What's his relationship with Jo? They have gone from strangers, to have multiple conversations where Ian gets to open up about his issues for the first time, to start a physical relationship and both confessing that they like each other... Jo struggles with Ian sleeping around, and Ian struggles with his ongoing feelings since he's scared of how things will turn out. And it's obviously very new compared to 19 years of knowing someone and different from any relationship Ian has had before.

I don't usually comment since I prefer reading, but I saw that someone spent one hour downvoting my comments over 200 times anonymously... And I can see that others comments weren't spared either lmao. Sorry guys for triggering the person that much by giving a summary of the story, which people had asked for and thanked me for.

Did anyone else forgot the story? Well here's an exact quote from the author published in the Q/A. "Wet sand begins when Ian, a former gangster, tries to leave the past behind and turn over a new leaf. He then meets Joseph, who seems to be from a completely different world. For the first time, Ian learns what it's like to live an ordinary life. But his old friend and 'lover' (they weren't in a relationship, but anyway), TJ, refuses to let him go."

7) Chapter 6, first date eating.
Chapter 15, second date stargazing.
Chapter 18, Jo: "Whenever I'm with you, my palms get all sweaty because I'm nervous. And I worry you might hear how loudly my heart is pounding. So... I don't want you to be comfortable with me like that either. You shouldn't play around with people like that." And they kiss. Chapter 19-20, they fu** and call each other se**, attractive and cute. Chapter 20, Ian "Last night was fun." And leaves. Chapter 21 Ian regrets it going "Urgh. Did I overdo it? He looked at me with a dumbfounded expression. It's better this way. It's best to end things here. I say too much when I'm with him."
Chapter 22, Jo: "That day... I really thought we were on the same page with how we felt. But I guess I was mistaken." And he leaves.
Chapter 23, Ian regrets it and go looking for Jo but Jo's in hospital.
Chapter 27, Ian apologised to Jo at Cafe and brings him to cemetery. Next chapter 28, Jo asks to be friends. Chapter 30, they have dinner as friends. Chapter 31, they go to cinema. Chapter 33, Jo finds Ian sleeping with another guy. Chapter 34, Ian looks for Jo feeling guilty and says he did it to be able to fall asleep but Jo don't believe it and leaves. Chapter 36 (not posted on this site), Jo says sorry for leaving. Ian thinks "I'm scared I might break you too." Jo says "I just realised I want to be with. So let me. Don't say things like that to push me away. Don't you like me?" Ian responds, "It's not that... I do like you, that's the problem." They kiss and Ian thinks "It made me want to test my wretched fate one more time." And then they fu** two chapters. And when he's supposed to celebrate Christmas with Jo's family, he finds out about Jason and TJ.

8) I don't know Korean but considering you've lied multiple times while accusing me of lying, I'm going to believe the translation over a liar.

@K 5)  Just normal debt for protection? Willing participant? Hm...
Chapter 10, outsider who knows it's effed up: "This arrangement is kinda harsh. Who charges this much for two years prison protection plus interest. Jason probably thought you'd give up on leaving if he demanded this much. [...] But I know he did it cuz he really likes you. So don't be too hard on him, for old times sakes."

6) Let's not minimise TJs involvement in what he caused: chapter 17, "TJ asked us to do it. TJ came to see us last week. He said Ian would be there if we went to the bar that day and asked us to restrain him. We just did as we were asked. Him falling from the second floor really was an accident." As a result, Ian lost his sponsorship, ended up in hospital and didn't have a future where he could leave. In same chapter we see Ian interrupting TJ and thinking it's better to pretend to not know.   Just normal debt for protection? Willing participant? Hm...

@K 4) TJ hasn't forced Ian? And Ian wants to stay? Hm...
chapter 13, Ian on his knees in front of TJ and others: "I don't want to do this anymore... Let me go, Boss."
Convo afterwards:
Jason "He was never suited for this work from the beginning. What can I do? I have to let him do what he wants."
TJ "I need him."
Jason "Hey you're going to make him do those two years-"
TJ "He'll find it hard to survive on clean work anyways. I'm gonna tie him down with money. If he wants to pay it back, he'll have to pay fees for protection during imprisonment, plus interest. All of it."
Jason "Do you think that's go to change his mind? If he was that kind of guy, he wouldn't be doing this right now. He'll kill himself trying to pay it back."
TJ "I know. I'm just buying time."

Chapter 15
Ian "Should I tell Jason I'm going to quit?"
TJ "Why?"
Ian "It's just... I already have some money saved... And I was thinking it might be better to do something else..."
TJ "You did? All this time?
Ian "Yeah, what about you? "
TJ "No way I'm quitting. [...] So don't get any ideas about straying. You know I need you."
Ian's thoughts "Yeah... I know that all too well."

Chapter 26, TJs thoughts: "I can't help but use and lean on your guilt just so I can keep you with me a little longer."

@K  1) Ian has no plans? Hm...
chapter 6: Ian: "I'll be going somewhere else soon."
Chapter 12, Ian: "I'm getting out of here... As soon as I get the money tied to Jason and as quietly as possible. If I dissappear for around three to four years... That'll be enough time for him too."
Chapter 16, Jason: "Your money is all there, untouched. You can take that and go somewhere far if you want. Or whatever your plan is.
Chapter 21, Ian picks up fake ID so he can leave but TJ later finds out and they fight in chapter 32 over it.

2) Chapter 16, both Ian and TJ are introduced to Jason so I'm not buying your claims that it was Ian who started it, but I can hardly confirm if author has said that elsewhere because I'm just reading the story. But chapter 28, Ian: "We were becoming more and more like monsters. And I never wanted this life from the beginning."

3) I didn't say TJ got Ian into drugs, I literally said "While being with TJ, Ian has been a drug addict". We got to see in that in chapter 8. Also can add: Ian talks there about how his mum died in prison and asks TJ if that would happen to him too while doing drugs, and then TJ uses that exact scenario to blackmail him into choosing between either dying like his mum in prison or have to continue doing crime that he doesn't want to do. Pretty fuc*** up.

@twin towers destroyer I think so. Jo and Ian went out on dates in the beginning and slept with each other, but then Jo found out about Ian having others and they decided to be just friends. When Jo confronted Ian about it, Ian told him it was because he couldn't sleep without having s** with ppl and Jo didn't believe it... But then after Jo had gone home he came back to Ian and they both tell each other they like one another and sleep together again. Ian is supposed to spend Christmas with Jo's family, but that's when he finds out Jason has died and someone has tried to kill TJ.

@twin towers destroyer The person who died is Jason, the old boss of Ian and TJ. Jason has left money for Ian after his death, and Ian plans to use it to run away from TJ. A couple of chapters ago TJ found out that Ian was preparing to run away and has started to regret his life choices. The hallucination mocking Ian about repentance was a close friend that Ian killed after the man attacked him. Some members think Ian is a traitor for leaving but they can't kill him while TJ is around. TJ was the one who got Ian involved in crime and forced him to stay. While being with TJ, Ian has been a drug addict, murdered multiple people, gone to prison, been forced into debt by TJ and TJ also hired some guys that accidentally broke Ian's legs when he was young so his career as an athlete was ruined and he couldn't leave TJ. Ian knows TJ did that but won't confront him because he's too miserable about the truth. He also struggles with other emotions, like he can't fall asleep without having s** with someone. TJ and Ian often have s**, but both are also sleeping with other people, and Ian consider their relationship over but TJ don't agree. There's also Jo, who really likes Ian and they've started to sleep with each other lately after dating and being friends. Jo's cousin, Chris, has a gambling problem and is in debt. He's stolen money and is secretly spying on Ian

people arguing over ml but I don't even remember what the plot is about who wants to do a recap of l...
I reread chapter 4, 12 and 17. Both MC & ML was adopted into the company. I think the father raped ML and why he's still so traumatised and self harm with s**. That's probably why the ML thought MC was also adopted to sleep with the dad/"chairman" in ch 4. The light-haired brother probably found out and they made a plan for ML "to kill him" so he was sent into exile abroad, clues in ch 12. The dark haired brother probably doesn't know anything so that's why he hates ML while the other one says "they're all brothers" and defends ML in ch 17.

Okay no sorry. I didn't bother with the Q&A. My comment was just based on what we found out in the story, I wasn't aware that the author decided the character was a rapist after finishing the story.
