@Sandstone Re-reading it I think the barbarian who lost his axe to the goblin lord already lost it and is the gold rank barbarian in the earth quake party side quest. The goblin impaled him through a woman with a sword, I thought he died but considering the location of his scar and his story maybe not.

Lost from Rizz

@Lost from Rizz 3 light novels in and only one other character has shown signs of being rewound but nowhere near as clearly as him, they seem a little fuzzy about it like it was a barely remembered dream. Which isn't to say no-one else has been rewound.

My theory is that it wasn't just him that got rewound but amada too and is quite obvious that the...

@Cid Lunius And considering how powerful that goblin lord became after stealing that axe he's not wrong to worry about that.

@Sandstone Nope! He just said they never used it, like someone sitting on the bench who never got to play. Now its gone to the minor league without ever getting a chance to play the majors.

There is a logical inconsistency with his conclusions; if what happened was no ones fault but his own then he had the ability to handle what happened and didn't. And yet he sees it as the height of hubris to think he could have handled it on his own. It was either beyond him or it wasn't, not both. But such an emotional land mine was never going to be without some emotional dissonance.

@Kukuruku Psychopaths are born that way, it's physiological. Environmental psychopaths are sociopaths. Good thing the target of his sociopathy are goblins...well not for the goblins I guess, but they are the perfect example of biological psychopaths.

She's just as traumatized as he is but in a less direct way. She left home on a little trip just to be told that she can never go home again and everyone she knew and loved was gone forever. Her (from what I can tell) childhood best friend, whom her last memory of is a fight that could never be resolved because of the goblins, appeared out of nowhere; a tangible physical link to a place and time that was wiped from existence. Care, pain, shared history culminating in some quite interesting emotional interplay, there is no such thing as therapy in such a world, it is harsh and usually quite a short and brutal life, education is next to non existent and monsters exist and want to kill everyone. This is written by someone in our modern world with civilized sensibilities, but they're doing what all writers who have any talent try to do, they're putting themselves in the shoes of someone who is not them and then writing them from that perspective rather than their own. Well, as best they can.

Kukuruku

@Kukuruku after the goblin trauma of his childhood, he was trained by a weirdo rhea that tormented him while training him up to kill goblins. A twisted, inverted personality is pretty much a given. Fortunately he starts hanging around people again eventually and actually develops his personality beyond goblins. Something his friends were quite right to be concerned about as that path led on a one way trip into the darkness. This world ain't sunshine and rainbows, here there be monsters...literally.

I believe that the author made MC much more miserable than needed. It feels that he's autistic.

@Lime_Bear Watching it all in one go is probably the optimal way to watch it.
They pad the runtime with several minutes of footage from the end of the last episode as the episode start, have a pan shot introducing the city that they use a lot and use some of the most awkward positioning angles just to use the CG elements.
It doesn't affect the story too much, but it does slow down the progression DBZ style. This is definitely a weird one, guessing you either... I want to say love it or hate it but it's more like can handle what they're trying or can't.  If you can it's fun enough if you can't it's a mess.

@OzTheMaverick Well it's not even hidden that it's basically D&D. Then all the other fantasy elements the author grew up liking thrown in as folklore or easter eggs.
Pretty sure his teacher is supposed to be a twisted take on Bilbo from LOTR too.
