I'm not ready. I am so not ready to the end of this flashback. I can only imagine how Sol is feeling at present. I bet he also did his best to create a country good enough for Brian's reincarnation to live in peacefully. I am gonna ball my eyes out for sure.😭

I'm amazed by how Brian is so patient with the chief. I would've snapped the forst time he gets on my nerves.

I just hope that the villagers are aware of the consequences of their actions. I appreciate how Brian keeps everyone's position into consideration - especially with the chief and his obvious actions. But by how things stand now, it seems this will only go one way. 😩

I assume during this time, they don't have laws yet? Coz no one seems to be talking about punishments or jury when it comes to missdeeds...

This is explaining the way how politics happen in real life. If you take down who the masses think is "wrong", the problem doesn't end there. You need a leader who can replace them to do the job that the masses will think is "right".

Right now, the people just want to remove the chief because of their resentment - which is valid. But that's not a "solution" to their problem. The chief can be replaced, but the taxes will remain the same. Removing the thorn doesn't make roses thornless forever, they say. They can't even fight back an "order" because they don't have information (I assume, laws in writing).

They don't even have someone that can replace the chief that can lead the village. (I assume, because at this point, the village chief doesn't have a leader to lead them to call it a "country" yet, like in the time of before 3000 BC) Brian isn't an option to lead despite being the one improving tradeways and currencies, thus, people don't see him as a leader but as a "knight".

I guess this story will emphasize on how Sol is going to be the king of a kingdom-country. Depicting how villages and tribes became a kingdom-country during the time of around 3000 BC in real life.

TL;DR: THIS AUTHOR IS A GENIUS. I don't have specific knowledge on how kingdom-countries were formed in history but this gave me an idea. 😲

Just as how conflicted Brian is with Sol. I'm also as conflicted with how things are shown very peaceful and content between the both of them (power struggles aside).

Yes, Brian and Ian are different persons. That's because the environment where they were born and raised, and the people around them were different.

However, remember Brian's words from this chapter:
"...or if I had the power to protect you... Then would my answer to his question have been different?"

Brian doesn't have the same power as Ian at this point, and probably until he died (theory still coz no idea what's w/ Brian's sword atm). They have the same characteristics of being a massive mana vessel. Though, idk to what extent Brian will develop later.

However different personalities they have, Brian and Ian have the same soul. This means whatever Brian cannot do and complete back then, Ian can do them (and vice versa). So for us to know Brian and Sol's story, we get to know another half of Ian and Sol.

You have to understand and accept that without Brian, Sol wouldn't even be in the human world, nor try to understand and help humans, nor even stay in the human world at all. Brian was and still is (Ian) the reason why Sol stayed. And Ian will be the one to fulfil Sol's wish.

You can complain all you want, but this doesn't mean you can attack/bash/harm the beautiful characters, story, and the awesome and talented author because readers, like me who enjoys the characterization, plot, delivery and development, exists. 🙃 Please be considerate. 😊

I already know how this flashback is gonna end and I am trying my bestest not to like them too much because of it but the author is just so good at showing the emotions in each panel it's so beautiful.

Despite being a backstory, this has given me nothing but many waves of emotions. I'm in love with Brian's character. Despite given the easy choices, he kept being loyal to his humane ground. He could've taken advantage of Sol's power and influence but he chose to makedo with human methods, even up to the point of sacrificing himself.

On the contrary of that, Sol couldn't understand Brian because he isn't human and the author never fails to deliver it to the readers. It will take Sol a very long time to understand humans and lead the country Brian helped built. I can finally understand why he needed a prime minister to lead a country when he could've chosen becoming a kingdom.

Now, Sol is willing to wait for Brian to choose him. Even if Brian is no longer Brian but Ian, I'm sure Sol will keep his promise. He has waited for so long to make his dream a reality. Very excited to know more about Sol! Seeing Sol's character development deepened my love for this series. 😭

I wanted this longer than one volume! It's a bit disappointing that they have to skip and summarize how Hajime won over Noah's family. It would've been so satisfying to see how he worked with his elder brother, Yamato, to "defeat" a noble family, instead of just reading it through walls of text.

But nonetheless, this was really beautiful. There are series out there defying the "fated pair" instinct and this, by far, is the most beautifully written - story, characters and pace-wise - for me.

Hajime is a character that would do anything for his love and even was willing to go as far as lock (based on when he strangled Noah) him up just to own him - which is an instict of an alpha and the way he should be by nature. It's the same for Noah, running search and background checks around Hajime. He is using whatever power and influence he has to get Hajime for him - his nature as an alpha. I am so glad that even as an uke, Noah didn't reject his alpha nature and even used it to his own advantage by monitoring Hajime's "fate" and even had to go through after-care. They trully love each other and you can feel it with their understanding and acceptance of each of their own nature - which is to possess whatever they want.

Married three times? Three ghosts that suddenly just found themselves in the crown prince's place? Conincidence. 😲

The last two chapters are really information heavy. Lmao
