Lol! The author could have created the misunderstanding arc! I read a series recently that ended with 45 chapters and the mc heard kinda similar conversation between fmc and her friend. That manga had probably 15+ chapters of around that misunderstanding and in the meantime their feelings got deeper. 

It may sound frustrating but I liked it.

I really hoped for him to have a happy life but then again if he had a child, they would probably end up in the same way. I'm happy for her childhood lover. She did her best to be with him but now she is with a good man. 

I really liked the story tho and I'm sad for the guy. What a terrible journey. If only he hadn’t kill his cousin and runway from the family, things wouldn’t have like this.  Overall i'd give it 9/10. 

I would probably gave it a 10 if the mc lived happily and enjoyed his life just a lillte 😭
