I gotta recomment because I was wrong. The mc has a reason to be selfish here and there's character development. At first I didn't really like him but he turned out so intelligent and wonderful. Never judge.

It's actually better than black lotus cuz black lotus's mc sucked. He was a literal doormat, weak and he forgave way too easily.
