Renato suffered a lot in his first life before he regressed. Being treated badly, outcasted, unwanted, manipulated, and even used for financial gain. 

It's not that Renato's weak. It's a trauma response. He has flashbacks to when he was killed and stabbed by Maximo, flashbacks to when people talked bad about him for being a Beta, flashbacks to when all the people he loved had gotten themselves killed before his eyes.

You can't just fault Renato for having a human response.

@Anime Huntress I think it has something to do with the Prince Consort's influence. Because the Queen has been ill for some time (her illness probably having something to do with the Prince Consort), during that time he accumulated a few followers which later turned into many. By using the people around him, the Prince Consort was able to put his daughter, Elisier on the throne. 

And considering the power play, despite Elisier having leverage as the heir to the Holy Throne, the number of followers the Prince Consort has, out numbers Elisier's people. Although, this is only my theory.

But yes, back to the topic, Elisier isn't overlooking the Prince Consort's actions. It may seem that way, but from what I see, Elisier is suspicious of her father. And this is proven when she received the news that Jesse was nearly assassinated in Riester by his own servants (trailing back to the twin boys who "served" Jesse at the beginning of the story). But with no "proof", Elisier can't do anything.

And sure, right here in this chapter compared to how Elisier was from before, Elisier if now certain about her father. She's not overlooking the Prince Consort with uncertainty this time. Rather, right now, she's warning him.

@Kazooie If we're going on historical context, sexual intercourse wasn't really taught amongst young adults. Considering how conservative it was back then, it was something that seemed to be taboo whenever brought up to one's parents.

Of course, considering how one could be taught, it was either they find it out themselves or they were taught by someone (like a private instructor who specializes in that field). To add, I'm pretty sure the female lead, both in her previous and current life, had NEVER had s**.

Given the context that has been said in the beginning, it seemed that the Female Lead was chronically ill or so severely ill that her time in the hospital led to her being there until her death. 

As for the Male Lead, I'm sure he was taught before his marriage to Grace. But I think the reason why he chooses not to have s** with Grace is because he respects her. Grace, both in the story and as of now, struggles with her self-image. As shown multiple times from before and during the last 2 chapters, he knows (or maybe even suspected it because Grace's Mother just confirmed it for Benjamin).

All in all, I applaud Benjamin for being patient and understanding and overall being a good husband. He has all these good qualities (minus his obvious red flags).

@ilylaX1 In the Novel; Fredrique's pronouns were and had always been she/her/hers and had always been referred to as the Empress or her Majesty. I'm pretty sure the reason why Fredrique's pronouns and gender changed was due to confusion or a mistranslation.

I believe that what Duke Ludwig is exempting is called "projection." In Chloe's first life, there were no signs of evidence that Raymond ever truly HAD toyed with her. Ludwig is using that example as a way of projection, to steer at Raymond and avoid that he was in the wrong. Well... It's just a thought if mine for now.
