da**. yet another question for which I will not have gotten the answer....
...I don't understand how he deserves it. He's a spoiled child yes, but his harm towards her isn't deliberate while hers is. Why should he bare the hate of another person who he's never actually hurt himself. He's an annoying child, CHILD, doesn't mean he has to bare what she feels because of her ignorant and selfish father.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but she is/was a grown person was she not? If she is, then acting as she is when she's already been grown is just crazy. Blaming a child and putting your resentment and hatred towards her father onto someone else is just wrong and unnecessary on her part.
I think I get even further away from empathizing with her is because of the way she treats her brother when her fathers actions aren't his fault.
I can understand the father part to a degree because of my dad but I won't go into detail because it's just going to sound like I'm trauma dumping on the internet which is weird and unnecessary on my part. But I will say that my father didn't really physically hurt me but he did verbally and emotionally abuse me, so to say I can't walk in her shoes isn't necessarily correct or incorrect I think I just process this differently compared to how the writer, you and others do.
