@I think I have a problem yeah right? And royalty doesn't even give a sh*t about him not give the order to invite him instead she said search for him and didn't even recheck the progress and what was the orders.... thats some deepsh*t Hope she marries to that prince
He lowkey deserves any bad thing that should happen to him for being such a carefree dummy, spreading OP cursed items basically for free.
Think about it, it'd be like someone manufacturing nukes (with tasteless decoration on top) and selling them for pocket change money on the streets. He's no "poor guy getting involved in a huge mess". He's more akin to some kind of terrorist. For real.
@TotallyAbsurd It's a bit different. His cursed item gives a buff effect, it was called a cursed item because of the material used and the spell he used to casted the buff effect is essentially a curse, he just twisted the curse. The problem is he thought, this is something that everybody can do. Not everyone can manipulate this curse material and cast a powerful curse that gives a buff effect instead of an actual curse. This assassin girl is trying to find him because the ring he gives the princess has a powerful defense capability. Sure he also made the cursed item with an actual curse in mind like the one he unleashed when he fought the cockatrice but he didn't sell that kind of cursed item. Selling the weapon itself is not a problem seeing that dwarf girl talk about magic in the weapon, the only problem is he's not aware of how Op the buff effect and the true worth of his ability.
Except that's exactly what I meant in my very first sentence.
Him being a dummy is no excuse for selling OP items. Even his "mild" ones are leagues above the best sh*t. In this universe it's enough to make the power that be in jeopardy: suicide from a blade in his back deserved. He had it coming and that'd make a way better plot, let's be real.
@TotallyAbsurd I think you misunderstood my word. What I meant is there's no way the weapon that he sells are equal to a nuclear weapon. He didn't sell nuclear weapon level but kept it to himself. What I mean, is you should have used the fact that his weapon buffing effect is "godly" and this is the real problem. I would still argue though, his being a dummy for selling Op item is no excuse for him "deserved all the killing threat", since despite him being a dummy, he never had any chance to actually sell it except for one chapter and most troubles were caused by the Princess herself and his former teammate which by all account constantly brainwashed him that his skill is tr*sh and it's all their effort without an ounce of his help that they became S-rank party until it proved to be otherwise. But I get why you feel "he deserved it", it can get very frustrating with MC that didn't even realize his own capability and constantly says, "I'm just tr*sh" totally blind to how others in the same class and profession can't do the same as him. It's like watching Dora the Explorer as a kid and angrily shouting, "ARE YOU BLIND, IT'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU".
Just try moving around with anything threatening the powers that be to see how long you'll survive my friend. Mere whistleblowers get it rough already, can you even imagine if we weren't speaking about leaking info, but something more serious like, let's say, nuclear weapons ? You took 'nuclear weapons' to the letter as I was only taking this as an example of something restricted for reasons you seem to not even be aware are an actual thing even IRL in our so called modern societies. So, there's also that to take into account, in a medieval setting people wouldn't be as covert in dealing with.. let's call them disturbing people?
So when airhead do exactly that, like a dummy, what would you expect ? If not a dead body.
