I've seen people saying whatever happened to him is not excuse for his behavior, putting Dan as an example cause he's been through a lot and he's still kind. I completely disagree. First, whatever happened to Dan is all after he was an adult, a whole grown up, he had a childhood filled with love and good memories with his grandma. They were on a tight budget, but still he had a really nice childhood. Now, if whatever happened to Jae was when he was just a kid, that's really bad, cause kids are starting to form themselves as a person, what happens to kids will determine what kind of person they'll be as adults. We shouldn't gaslight the mental health of kids, and even knowing whatever happened to Jae is not excuse for his behavior, that doesn't mean we should make fun of his pain and be cruel about it. Jae and Dan's situations are really different, Dan went through a lot for sure, but if all that happened to him was when he was a kid and not an adult, he would be another person, not the kind guy he is now.
@EF i Thats wrong I understand not making fun or teasing Jaekyung for his past but claiming that Dan would be the same if things happened in his childhood is wrong. Have you experienced poverty? Dan had a good upbringing but even then that doesn't mean that because he had a good upbringing he SHOULD act kindly. Dan acts kindly because HE is kind. Although I understand what you meant by how upbringing or mental health for children is important there are plenty of adults who had trauma in their childhood, and still managed to act correctly or kindly towards others.Regardless of what you think of Jakeyung and his past trauma his behavior can't be excused. Although Jakeyung actions could be justified in his eyes, they're still not excusable
@Mustard I disagree. The enviroment where you grow up is important growing up. If Dan was surroanded with bullies and people treating him badly, he wouldn't be kind now. He is kind cause that's how he is, yes, but also cause the enviroment where he grew up allowed him to stay kind. He was poor, but not in extreme poverty, his grandma allowed him to grow up with everything he needed, so you can't say "poverty" marked him. After he grew up he started to feel the weight of money and had to work a lot to support his grandma and her treatments. But no, Dan being poor didn't bring any trauma to him, cause he wasn't in extreme poverty.
@EF i finally someone said it out i teslly dont like the unnecessary hate on jaekyung fr the same happened with alex until his backstory came to logjt everyone hated him then suddenly were in love with him so we should have a little patience until we get jaekyungs backstory and ik for sure its gonna be one helluva tearjerker
@EF i i disagree. Being poor can be very traumatic. I don't remember seeing Dan get everything he needed, if their house is anything to go by, they were extremely poor. Not having parents is extremely traumatic too, no matter how nice your grandma is. He also got sexually harassed in school. And trauma is not a competition. People react to the same thing differently. The same thing could be nothing for one person but traumatise someone else for life.
@EF i This is simply wrong you have no basis to back the fact that Dan would be a sh** person if he had trauma! TRAUMA doesn't make you a shi*** person with sh** personality. Dan is a kind and humble person because he's worked hard. Even NOW he constantly works hard despite being in a harsh environment. Look at the countless other stories where people had a traumatic childhood and are still kind people in their adulthood both in fiction and real lif
