@M.Monroe Yeah, Junmin doesn't interest me either 😐 Some other readers find him hot I guess
@Jem yeah I've seen them around. I never understood how they found Stone face Cena over here hot, but to each their own😭😭

@M.Monroe "Stone face Cena" lol
I also don't understand it 😕 I personally find Junmin really unappealing, but to each their own like you said.
And you're right that he's irritating. He deliberately instigates Jaekyung (like in chapter 52), so he shouldn't be surprised when Jaekyung reacts.

Edit: New readers and those who haven't read the Season 1 finale may not want to read the comments in this thread due to spoilers. You've been warned 😀
@Jem I was so happy when Jae beat him up more in the hospital bed. He talks WAAAAAY took much
@M.Monroe Agree! I liked that scene because that's exactly what I would do if I were Jaekyung. Like what does Junmin expect, flapping his mouth like that? He's the one who started it. Something I've noticed about Jaekyung is that he only attacks when provoked (like with the guy in chapter 2, who got his head slammed into the wall for mouthing off). I'm not saying that Jaekyung should attack others when provoked because he obviously shouldn't, but he doesn't attack first (even with the loan sharks).
@Jem YES I NOTICED TOO. He might not have a ton of manners but he's never the aggressor in those situations. I honesty love Jaekyung's personality and the way mingwa made him. I do dislike when he treats Dan that way but I feel like his rude ways just FIT if yk what I'm trying to say.
@M.Monroe I agree :) I like certain aspects of his personality, such as how he's mysterious, sometimes funny, and is very helpful to those in desperate circumstances (like Dan and his grandmother). I also like how he's respectful to strangers and even his opponents. On the other hand, there's a sadistic side to him, as we have seen in his mistreatment of Dan. But I love that he's a morally grey character who is not perfect, and that he has a dark side. It adds so much more interest and realism to the story 🙂
You're right that his rudeness does seem to fit, like his grumpy ways and how he stubbornly pushes Dan past his comfort zone to experience things he otherwise would not have. Jaekyung has done some really awful things, but he's not irredeemable.
@Jem Yesss. Finally somebody that gets it. I agree with everything you said. I never understood why Jinx got all the hate as There are SO many worse than Jaekyung.  I also never understood why they hated the fact he didn't cry when Dan left as if his personality was supposed to change immediately after Dan left him which doesn't even make any sense. I love the way mingwa made him, because as u said there's a sense of realism with his character and he's also kind  mysterious. I can't wait for season 2 to see how his character develops and to see new sides of him we haven't already.
@M.Monroe I also don't understand all the hate. I read somewhere that Mingwa has even received death threats over Jinx!! I think people need to focus less on rage and hate and instead focus on what's important in life, such as kindness and understanding. Readers should also keep in mind that just because an author creates something, doesn't mean they necessarily agree with the situation/character/world that they created. It's just fiction 😃
Jaekyung never cries, so for him to immediately break down crying over Dan leaving doesn't make sense, as you said. We can see that he feels shocked and disappointed, but we know that he's also going to feel rage. After all, we saw how he reacted when Dan wanted nothing to do with him and was ignoring all his phone calls. Hopefully, the redemption and chasing arc is believable, so even if something crazy happens it has to be something Jaekyung would actually do. Like in chapter 34 when he acted despicably to Dan and Heesung, it was believable that he could do that.
@Jem YES I was even told that I justify irl r*pe because I read jinx. Sending her death threats is Way too far though.

I just know Jaekyung is going to be extremely upset just like you said. For him to do something completely out of character  so soon he would either have to be drunk or mentally unstable.I wonder how the story is gonna go, like how him and Dan get together and his past with Junmin.
