Pretty dumb, what's the sense in making a reincarnation story then change almost every aspect of Mc challenges?

@Senburu What are you talking about? This is pretty much the first time it changes, which is normal since he changed how the event happened. Never heard of the butterfly effect?
@inhuman Butterfly effect is not exactly how it would work with particular things. Id say a ripple effect would make more sense for a regression story, but if one semi minor difference uproots the entire reality that was in place it's pretty major plot problem.
The strength of the regressor is their knowledge of a limited future unchanged by them which allows them to acquire certain treasures or skills or other perks. If you take that away then there is zero point in doing a regression story might as well make them wake up in an alternate reality. Settings effect plot and the immersion of the reader.

@Senburu I think the problem is that you're calling it a “minor change” when it really isn’t.
In this case the MC isn’t just making a small decision differently — he’s much stronger than he originally was at that same point in time. If the tower trial adjusts based on the person taking it, then the conditions are completely different from the start.
And let's be honest, in many of those "tower trial" part stories, there are always some magical conditions or hidden mechanics that trigger when certain requirements are met. It basically gives the author a way to make things play out differently for the MC and create special events for him.
