MC would've died trying to promote and use combat arts without his MC level talent and Hemis giving him demonic power; he failed to defeat the enemy by using promote level 3, and Reidrunn immediately showed up, which means if he had used promote 1 or 2 and stalled for even 10 seconds, then it would've been fine.
