@TotallyAbsurd to be fair, this kind of mindset trope the mc has is probably the only way as a near immortal (who still retains normal emotions unlike some vampire tropes) to keep from losing their mind or becoming depressed over time, in a parody, humans irl tend to revert to childish personalities as they age as well being too serious just leads to burnout
