My point still stands, mc was evil at this point in time in the story. Follow along the story and you will find out that this is not a story about evil cruelty, and ruthlessness. Instead, it's a story about mc changing slowly but surely to making the "righteous" and "logical" decisions, however ruthless they may seem, like you said, while still retaining the attitude of taunting his opponents, and also having an inflated ego, and attitude, things that make this mc stand out.
@The King Of Weed else if you wrote that comment for a different audience who are okay blindly supporting the mc of a story just because they are the mc, and to oppose people just because that's the story they somehow chose to read and ended up hating the mc for certain specific actions of his (probably including because of reasons that the author himself wants the reader to hate the mc for those things, temporarily, momentarily, so that he can turn around the story), then i guess good for you?
