The story then shifts to Eustis's perspective. Years ago, his wife Isabella wanted to name their daughter Ellensia, a name associated with happiness. However, after Isabella died shortly after giving birth, Eustis named the child Philomel instead. Grieving and unable to love anyone, he raised her without affection. One day, when she was young, he cruelly said that he wished she would stay out of sight and that he did not even want to know she existed. Unbeknownst to him, Philomel heard these words, which deeply traumatized her. Later, Eustis slowly began caring for Philomel. At first, he thought she was similar to him and wanted to give her the happy life he never had. He spent time with her, supported her growth, and watched her become a talented and respected young woman. Eventually, he realized she was actually very different from him stronger, kinder, and braver. Despite this, he genuinely came to love her and believed he had finally learned what parental love was. However, Eustis never faced the damage he had caused. He convinced himself that Philomel had forgotten the hurtful words she heard as a child. When she finally confronts him and leaves, he understands that he was wrong. The pain she suffered never disappeared. After she returns all the gifts, money, and possessions he had given her, he realizes she is severing all ties with him.
As rain falls outside, Eustis sits alone in his study, heartbroken. He tries to convince himself that respecting Philomel's wish to never see him again is the right thing to do. Yet he cannot stop thinking about her. Knowing that she is about to leave the palace with her real father, he becomes overwhelmed with sadness. Finally, unable to endure it any longer, he suddenly leaves his study. Meanwhile, Philomel is at the palace gate saying goodbye to everyone. She comforts her friends and promises to visit and write letters in the future. After finishing her farewells, her father Leguin asks if she is ready to leave. The scene ends with Philomel standing at the threshold of a new chapter in her life, while Eustis is left facing the consequences of his past mistakes.

Philomel, Countess Dellese, and the others were preparing to leave for the Magic Tower. Nasar had already decided to go with Philomel as soon as he heard she was leaving. Leguin did not want Nasar staying at the tower, but Nasar calmly said that he had already arranged a place to stay at Angelium. Philomel found it amusing that Nasar could be even more stubborn and shameless than Leguin sometimes. Philomel asked Jeremiah if there was anyone he wanted to say goodbye to before leaving. As usual, Jeremiah simply replied, "No." While Jeremiah was leaving immediately with Philomel, Lexion and Cadin would join them two days later because they needed time to resign from their jobs and finish their responsibilities. Since all their belongings had already been sent ahead, they were ready to leave. Leguin was about to use teleportation magic when Philomel stopped him because someone was running toward them. It was Emily, the maid who had secretly helped Philomel by gathering information about the invader. She was soaked from the rain and out of breath. Emily came under the magical umbrella that Leguin had created and gave Philomel a notebook as a farewell gift. She explained that the notebook belonged to the woman they were searching for and contained strange writing that looked suspicious. Emily believed it might be some kind of secret code, so she had stolen it and wanted Philomel to have it. Philomel laughed at Emily's unusual gift but accepted it gratefully.
