I still can't believe they stole Cresent Rose for this... Don't know if Ruby would be more mad than proud that somebody copied her weapon, but hey, it Ruby, what else would you expect...? 😏
the fu** you babbling about? Scythe is hardly new. The concept of shifting weapons? nothing new either. A close-range weapon fused with a gun? FF8 Squall gunblade is older LMAO. RWBY first aired in 2013, and FF8 gunblade is in the late 90's, 1999 if you want an exact year. The only difference is one is a sword with a gun, one is a scythe with a gun
Calling it a reference as "stole" with such confidence, is truly baffling. Bet if there is any other reference you'd call it "stealing"/"stolen idea" which is the dumbest thing you could say. Author/artist throwing reference to series they like is da** common now.
You do understand what a reference is right? Had to ask because you said a dumbass thing about stealing.
@BananaSquash I wasn't talking about references, I was talking about the weapon itself and how Ruby would react to someone with a weapon similar design. And besides, this series has a ton of stolen references and everyone found it funny, it being that I read this series ever since it was aired here with many others, so you got no reason to be pis*** at me for trying to make a conversation with other reference seekers in this series...! So chill the F out!
@SansAsterisk It's not a gunscythe, it's a mechanical scythe. The design isn't really even similar other than the extra mechanical bits at the ends and joints of the scythes. Plus even if the scythe were intentionally made similar to Ruby's it would be a tribute, which is most often a compliment to the original work. Also, they aren't "stolen" that would be plagiarism which is directly copying another's work, these are just called references because they refer to another work without copying it.
