Slavery and racism have all these issues, slaves were raped, assaulted, abused, killed, eaten. Do you realise that this is a very sensitive topic? H*l you mean "slavery existing in an 1800s setting is where realism becomes a problem?" You did read it once before sending that right? And the mc only freed them after the law was issued after the war, you did read that right? There are already so many issues right at the very first chapter and you want this to continue? Y'all are the very reason why I'm so happy this got discontinued and the backlash knocked some sense into the artist. Do research before you defend sumn, you look stupid

@Rei You're still doing that thing where anyone who disagrees with you must be "defending" slavery. Im questioning your logic, genius. You keep bringing up how sensitive slavery is but so are grape, abuse, coercion, murder, war, and racism. Fiction includes sensitive topics all the time. The question is whether they're being glorified or critically portrayed not whether they exist at all. And the law point doesnt rlly help your argument. Gerald's father owned the ranch before emancipation. The law didnt create slavery it ended its legal status. Those ppl were already enslaved before the law was passed. Atp i feel worse for the author than anything. The series barely started and ppl jumped straight from criticism to acting like anyone discussing the writing is personally endorsing slavery. Shut your mouth and keep scrolling if you don't like it
