After all this time, Richard still hasn't matured one bit and remains a spoiled brat who throws tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants. Smh. 🤦🏻
He just proved Lucillion's point with what he did, trapping Luci with a magic spell because he wants to be alone with Ayrin.
Also, pushing his one-sided romantic feelings towards Ayrin and complaining to her about it not being reciprocated, what utter BS is that?! If that's not selfishness that he continues to deny, then I really don't know how his brain works!
He acts so entitled and self-important, no to mention self-centered. He's always about what he wants and what he thinks he deserves without considering those around him. 😤

She was but she lost the baby from overusing her mana in order to make the giant rock at the entrance of Ethlene Castle to fall on the horde of monsters.

She doesn't know that she miscarried though, she just thought that she was just unconscious for a few days because of her injuries and overuse of mana like what happened in the past.

Everyone will keep it a secret from her that she was pregnant and lost her baby, Riftan ordered them to do so. She will find out about it much later after Riftan sends her away.

Maxi is really an amazing lady, tries her best despite having low self-esteem and low self confidence due to past traumas caused by her family and of hubby Riftan not being supportive to her being a mage because of his overprotectiveness. She's too selfless and always tries to help others to the point that she neglects her health and safety.

I know I should celebrate the end of this chapter as a win but...

She will almost die due to overusing her mana to make that huge rock fall on the monsters that were attacking Ethelene castle. She also miscarries her baby that she didn't even know she was pregnant of and almost bleeds to death..

@Ehi Etomi Exactly! She covets things that the duchess poured blood, sweat and tears for. She only sees the beauty but didn't know all the work that went into making the ducal residence, the greenhouse, and the duchy what it is today. Even the relationship she's jealous of, it's natural for the duchess to develop a close relationship with the maids and knights coz they've been through a lot together. Especially the duke whom she practically raised when they were still kids.

I don't really get why Owen doesn't just ask Nick in a straightforward way about all his doubts.

Nick continuously keeps reassuring him and even encourages him to ask anything about him but he keeps asking vague questions, skirting the topic and not asking about the things that he's really worried about.

Sure, I get that he has low self-esteem because he thinks he's a "broken omega" and has something wrong with him and he got traumatized because of his psycho cousin and the ass**** alphas around him (his exes and those working with him in the company) BUT keeping mum and not asking about the things that he wants/needs clarification on EVEN though his partner is encouraging for him to do so THEN hiring a P.I. to follow the aforementioned partner around and investigate him daily, that's just low. 😤
