I get that people hate on Derrick and trust me, so do I, but I think one reason is not enough. The only reason yall be hating on him is because he has feelings for his little step sister which I get it, it's disgusting. But let's not forget the fact, that this man als abused Penelope, he abused her, locked her in her room , let her starve, AND has romantic feelings for Penelope. He didn't even try to express his love, instead he tried to lock her away, from the world. If yall noticed, that bird in cage he showed Penelope which had the same colours as Penelope's hair, that bird represented his feelings for Penelope. I will never feel empathy towards Derrick.

People trying to avoid the past, instead of resolving the problems, they run away from it, put a blind eye and call it a day, carrying the pain with them everywhere they go. The author also explained Trauma so well in this Manhwa, most of the manhwas I read, they immediately forgot about their trauma the second they fell in love, forgetting everything just with a simple apology and tears. There's actually a lot more I've got to say but let's just wait for the next chapter!
