Yes it's an apocalyptic story, but my g** it has some of the best writing, and for once, author isn't afraid to cut off the "dumb" or "brave" people.

Being dumb and brace gets you killed in apocalyptic situations after all

So you could try it out if you want something more, well, minus the realism of the apocalypse, the choices the characters amke are very sound.

@SythDracous I think it's because the truth dragon would reveal that she herself was a demon, so she had to hide and only came out when dragon was near dead and distracted

I swear everyone here just speed reads, complains at small descrepencies and don't stop to think before jumping to conclusions

@Dione it's repeated several times that its a taboo, a sin, a crime etc. does it need to be repeated every chapter to be explained.

Take the blue hair ice mage, she had an instant reaction and was about to immediately kill him.

Now take this way, if rumors spread he eats monsters, and people hear from secondary sources and not from himself, kaboom, angry mob with every adventure out for his head.

No explaining, just kill. Based on context so far eating monsters turns you into a demon if you're able to survive in the first place, hence the taboo...

He could in theory do so, however remember the dark mama particles you get from eating monsters? That directly affects ones body/mana, it's permanently integrated, only reason mc doesn't get affected is because of his passive

Think of substitute as an active, he can't keep doing it forever, and it's very inefficient in the sense of granting his allies with monster powers if he has to touch them at all times

@milk I actually read the novel and it just wasnt shown in the manga, a bit of a poor execution in terms of explaining how substitution works.

Substitution limit on no contact only applies if you're the same species. 

Demon sword possessed small time villain didn't work because the human accepted it but not the sword.

Elf doesn't work cause they duff species. Weird condition but with the context it makes sense.

Also factor in human desire to have companionship cause camping in dungeon to be strong can be mentally exhausting with no one to talk to

Also I swear everyone hates to see romance. Think about it, THERE IS NO HAREM, THEY DONT HAVE AWKWARD ROMANCE YET, THERE IS NO OTHER FEMALE LEAD. SHE CONTRIBUTES TO THE STORY

@Vawulence   it really is, the main problem is that even the current modern medicine cannot cure rabies, it can prevent it but it can't cure it.

It's quite hard to cure rn cause rabies targets the immune system as in the nervous system connected to our brain. There's no medicine, remedy or surgery that can cure it. Hope medicine is able to advance and cure it eventually
