I came here for Ian but someone stole the spotlight but Ian might become one of best grey characters I love! Ian had truly turned into a monster, tried to deny all the dirt he did for the sake of not leaving TJ behind.Ian was so deep in toxic guilt and still is(I am still waiting for the real reason for that toxic guilt,obviously blind love alone didn't cause his self destruction)Ian could have totally avoided the whole jail time and protection money 'cuz that's what the lawyers told TJ.There will be no arguments TJ really used that opportunity to hold back Ian selfishly when Ian reflected on the broken monsters they had became even if excuses(like stalking & jailed only to protect Ian from danger cliché,won't make sense but ppl eat that,i have hope in this story tho)show up in the future 'cuz there is no way Ian who had killed b4 for the gang with no reason gonna feel better locked in jail for the 1st time he killed someone while defending midway & I'm aware this is an unplanned homicide not self defense the moment Ian grabbed the person who ran away but at 1st it was indeed self defense. Did you guys notice how the hotel tj currently lives in looks almost same as where ian did the killing? Almost look like 1703 from chapter 7 was the room that was infront of Ian's old room...(I focus more on how 3 key characters treat each other and play out in each others' life;their close ones than the gang surrounding 'cuz I chose to read a story that will never have moral punishment for their past but I won't mind if the author add some twist!)

Jo is growing on me as each chapter pass by.I think he got a very accepting nature;live the moment but not impulsively & preserve it for long(like he slept with ian:he gave in for the moment but not impulsively cuz he thought it as a long run& jo regretted it when he got to know they had different idea of relationship they began while simply accepting the final call to leave)above all really kind towards the people around him(literally here for his aunt to help out when he is supposed to be stressed about quiting job and chasing photography)thus it was not that hard to believe he accepted ian & offered a friendship without involving pity & compassion like he said.Jo is illustrated with the most complicated nature thats hard to exist together so,his actions are going to unpredictable & predictable at the same time but not something it's hard to believe he can do that unlike how some ppl see him as pure and typical good character that act naively 'cuz he isn't.He is flawed in a beautiful way that's really rare.

I am sorry to break it you but Ian's Korean name isn't exclusive for Tj. Jason (called him youngwoo when ian visited him on hospital chapter 16),Yangji said " hey,youngwoo.long time no see."even chiwoon informed tj "boss, Youngwoo is here." In chapter 7. who knew ian in the past know his Korean name and use to address him with that but Ian is trying to get away from thus he introduced himself first as 'ian' to jo (but don't forget that it's his English name, Koreans who live in abroad has and it's his real name too) the other thing jo was an ons to ian at that time and it's quite normal to use protection on your first time. I feel stupid to explain these things but I just couldn't leave for some reason BTW we are still in progress about jo &ian relationship but Ian actually cares far more than ons about jo. Ian is comfortable, care enough to question tj so, let's wait to see things getting more complicated :)

I am sorry it was confusing. It's like ian still has lingering love for tj but love filled with guilt that often waning(/diminishes)strength whenever ian see tj's changed new self but probably because ian is guilty of creating of tj's new self(relating to the scar) he only sees tj as how he used to be like an illusion so, ian still have feelings for that past tj.
Yes, like u said ian loves the tj in the past even if tj changed he couldn't let go of tj bcuz for Ian who refuse to see the changed tj in his eyes tj still the boy he loved so, only when ian accepts tj is not the same as he used to be we can say for sure if Ian still loves new tj or just guilt but he cares for tj whether tj changed or not for sure.

Yes doyak-nim does show Ian's love for the tj who didn't become something he is now and its really hard to leave them that's why it's gonna be hard for us to watch how this unfolds. it's not so mature to be mad at what u said. its hard and toxic but that's why it's always way harder to let go for ian.I am mad at them doing what they did to jo when he was in hospital but I can understand how it went wrong there while my heartache for jo not just jo anyone on that position without a clue why. I think ppl got really frustrated with 1 Month without plot moving much and got mad lol.

I love you view on this too for me Ian's love for tj got mixed with so many things that the least I would call it love personally. Ian's emotions straying at chsp 24 might be bcuz if the lingering love for tj. ian actually doesn't mind what tj did to him and indeed stayed in the gang for tj, he put up with it but it destroyed his dream and left him as a monster only if he left when he had the moment he wouldn't murdered someone but he stayed cuz he did love tj.i think after the murder he felt his emotions ain't normal and 2 years prison gave the time to think about this 3-4years distance to make tj stable without him while ian find a way to cut ties with gang while still be there for tj. I think ian didn't mind what tj did was connected to tj's scar like he uttered the same thing as tj did when he got scar " I didn't want to anyway " that's also the guilt ian tied with tj that makes this 3-4 years plan hard to work but seeing this ian is love with the past tj who didn't change which isnt the case now like u said tj hurting jo might be the last straw to break the illusion of the how tj used to be, who ian had in mind and can't abandon.(remember when ian used his hands to hide tj scar)

I am not getting reality into fiction but some words toxic, obsession, love, attachment won't change its meaning if it's fiction.It's okay love how each of that play out in story and be more interested in it but let's just enjoy/criticize them as it is, not something else or lower its meaning
And also bcuz I wrote all this I realized how much interested I am on this and how well written it is(maybe not some part for me) I need the season to end soon and most likely it will with couple of chapters so I can relax and prepare for angst.sometimes over excitement can be exhausting so i need that break so badly

Ok guys hear me out its long but bear with me. something about chapter15 dialog is changed in Eng ver. to how it supposed to be,where jo asked about if Ian had some he loved the response changed to" there is ... there was"instead of" yeah...i had someone like that." but doesn't change much how everyone know Ian do have feelings lingering for tj but we all have different opinions on mostly what kind it changed into;sometimes what you think love once can change into something u still believe it's love but its actually filled with other things that now love is least thing that is(e.g., how some obsession is rooted from love but lost its meaning of love within it when it harms either of people involved and some of you will disagree on that part with me saying 'obsession is also love')
not a spoiler but why i say obsession is no longer love:-

Obsessions leads to destruction,I believe those destruction aint something u can forget it's something to regret, only a few ppl can forgive that and that's always a case where they were indebted to forgive which isnt healthy but okay???( if the depth was not deep ig)Idk how to take Ian's words 1) He was comfortable around jo(how Ian thought jo was open about his ex)to slip his feelings for tj"there...is"but ian(as a resolution) wanted to bury that feeling and let go"there was". 2) He was defenseless around jo(how jo's eyes makes ian weak/how he talk too much around him than intended)blurted out his feelings for tj "there ...is" but Ian(convincing himself)thought he buried that feeling and that he let it go already"there was".I believe Ian was both comfortable & defenseless during the conversation but more than that Attachments,separation anxiety from tj&ian's harsh life together/just trauma bonding made ian exhausted from loving tj thus why he said "we are just friends now" bcuz 1.Or 2. Ian wants to bury them while ian knew they're harming them; he is unaware that he is exhausted not just from gang but loving tj just like how tj knew he is exploiting Ian's guilt while unaware of his obsession yet.[Devoting energy to a relationship that isnt meeting your need will leave you frustrated & emotionally drained,it can get hard to communicate and give each other the love they deserved]but this was chapters/events ago so like so days/month has passed things changed to the point tj was pis***'i can't believe he gave me that look..'when ian asked"did u give the orders?...again?"(I also believe we don't get to see all the convos between jo&ian just like how tj&ian past convos just the key conversations & heavy plot, maybe i am wrong)Either way jo is kept in dark about tj and I understand why ppl want him out from their mess bcuz what ian did is misleading(personally, I hate that)last chapters were disappointing(not about author's work how Ian strayed away when someone is injured) but interesting how he got defensive for jo(bcuz jo is getting hold of something in Ian's heart)whilst relieved for tj(cuz tj still attached in Ian's heart)or ian might be relieved for himself that he didn't push tj into more destruction!(simply the guilt tied him to tj with a scar which made ian obligated to stay in reach while he wants to get away)that's how we know we are fuc*** up get your seat belts ready team ian,jo,tj,jo×ian,tj×ian my man ian got contradicting heart& life while jo is getting to know about his past slowly so,once tj is revealed to jo/Ian's more regrets we are in for a rollercoaster of emotions &angst!

How I see ian is a lot complicated than anyother characters but he is not an innocent one.I already got two things that rubbed me wrong about Ian without his past but his Past is not a good sight either full of regrets.Rgrets are only there when you did things wrong,ian pretty much did an extreme one which makes me question how much of second chance in life he deserve? I still find myself saying he do and that's because he is trying his best not to become even worse like he left his past world but some unknown guilt and connections ain't leaving him to be firm.
shouldn't forget without jo Ian's past is something that left buried in guilt.

sure things are about to become a mess but I think maybe next season?
