@Disappoinment Oh, dear, I knowpepe stickerI'm not trying to cure the incurable. I'm just leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for anyone who actually wants to find their way out of the delusion. The thick-skulled ones can keep wearing their copium like a crown. It doesn't change the canon

@cutiee_xx On Twitter, after chapter 52 dropped, the author explicitly stated that scene was meant to showcase Jo's obsession. This has also been pointed out repeatedly: by multiple readers, in multiple threads. At this point, failing to grasp it requires a truly impressive level of willful illiteracy. Either the reading comprehension is nonexistent, or the copium has simply eroded what little media literacy was there to begin with. Either way, the source material is not the problem herepepe sticker

I can't stop laughing at the copium-fueled delusions some readers are postingpepe sticker

— "Ian chose TJ because he wants to protect Jo".
No. Ian chose TJ because his heart has always belonged to him and only him. Jo himself admitted he always knew Ian was thinking about someone else while being with him.

— "Ian is planning to kill TJ so he can be with Jo".
Right. Because the Ian who panicked and rushed to the hospital when TJ got into an accident, promising to destroy all his enemies, the Ian who walked into Big Teddy's lair ready to die for TJ, the Ian who literally threw himself into gunfire to shield TJ with his own body, is definitely plotting his murder. The mental gymnastics here deserve an Olympic medal.

— "Jo is a green flag, TJ is a red flag. The author loves toxicity."
Everyone in this story has flaws. Jo literally sexually assaulted an unconscious person, choked him, manipulated him, and did everything in his power to possess someone who was never his. He's not some innocent little lamb who got played by Ian.

— "This is all just TJ's dream. In reality, Ian is with Jo".
Interesting theory. So TJ dreamed up Toby, a character he's never met? And the whole "he fell asleep in the car" theory falls apart when you notice Ian's clothing matches at the beginning and end of the chapter. But don't let canon facts interrupt your bedtime story.

So to all the dissatisfied readers still huffing copium: it's time to accept reality and stop trying to ruin the fun for everyone else who's actually enjoying the story. The canon is right there.

@Gave  Let's keep this simple since you clearly struggle with the concept of "reading before typing".

— I reply to misinformation. Not everyone. Just the confidently wrong ones.

— Your reading comprehension is embarrassing. I'm actually starting to wonder if you're reading the same story or just a very vivid fanfiction in your head.

— Multiple people disagreeing with you isn't a conspiracy. It's a clue.

— Jo sexually assaulted an unconscious person. Author said it was obsession.

You can cry, downvote, write essays. None of that changes what happened in the story. Anyway, I'm done. Stay madpepe sticker

@cutiee_xx Jo's love was never "healing, selfless, gentle". Even the author wrote that it was obsession when he sexually assaulted an unconscious Ian. But! I also disagree with the take that any character is unnecessary in this story. Without Jo as a catalyst, Ian and TJ never would have broken free from that vicious cycle and ended up togetherpepe sticker

@Gave Chapter 52: Jo saw Ian lose consciousness, but instead of checking if he was okay, he just used his body to satisfy his own lu**, then marked his body afterward. The author later explained that she wrote this to show his growing obsession.
Chapter 72: Jo choked Ian while thinking about TJ.
And let's not forget the manipulation: re-bandaging a healed arm to guilt-trip him, sabotaging his chance to be with the one he lovedpepe stickerBut Jo stans act like none of this exists and just blame everyone else.
P.S. Typing "no hate" while hitting dislike is actually hilarious

@DJRADO1234 Why do Jo stans love playing the victim so much? No one was hating on your opinion. This is just a friendly reminder that no one in this story is perfect, and your fave did a whole lot of terrible things, even if you prefer to pretend he was the "better option"

@DJRADO1234 Jo was never "a better option"pepe stickerWhy does everyone forget that he literally out of obsession and jealousy raped/sexually assaulted an unconscious person and choked him?! And there's no way he would have given Ian the home he dreamed of, because loving someone is just as important as being loved, and that was only possible with TJ

"So that when I finally return, I will be strong enough to truly face and endure everything we are meant to be."
I hope everyone realized that Ian's internal monologue was about TJ, because Jo asked about "that person"pepe sticker
Jo himself admitted that he always knew Ian's heart belonged to TJ, but he deliberately interfered anyway. In the end, his obsession led him to sexually assault an unconscious person and choke him out of jealousypepe stickerThere was never any chance of a healthy relationship here
No one set anyone up. The hospital is required to call the police when someone is brought in with a gunshot wound. Although I still have a feeling this might be TJ's plan: to walk away from the organization for good, clear his name and be with Ianpepe sticker
