@Shadow laws Do you fasten your belt only when you are planning to get into an accident? Do you buy insurance only when you know your car will be stolen next week? Or do you lock the door only when you are  waiting for robbers at your house?

You may never get into an accident driving for 40 years, but the day you do, without fastened belt you are probably will get heavily injured, or dead. How do you think, is it worth it to fasten your belt every day considering the possibility this could save your life one day?

The majority of people are good and law-abiding, but it gets only one criminal to ruin your life. This means you cannot trust just everyone and also means you have to be prepared for dangerous situations.

Your generalisation is not constructive. Both men and women are people and can be good or bad. Just because you consider yourself a good man doesn't mean every man is good.

That's lucky of you to never meet this type of guy, but that doesn't mean everyone is just as lucky, as you. I wasn't. And think about this, assaulters can assault a lot of women before they get caught and put in prison. So there may be only one criminal among 20 good men, but among 20 women half of them would be assaulted and traumatised by this criminal. Do you understand my point?

If you are able to read manga on the Internet, you are definitely able to search for definition of «feminism». I suggest you to go look for it as soon as possible and stop embarrassing yourself in front of people.
@Spinach modern day feminism is nothing like what the defination tells us , equality , rurar area yes , but in cities where feminism is most spread, what equality are they fighting for in 2024 ? Now a days woman have more advantage and opportunities then men , in any government, tell me one agenda or law , made to improve mens life on the other hand , there is always sometimes for woman , like quata's and sh** , now u gonna say men already have everything, top 10 Percent yes , but most of us have nothing, now a days with inflation and joblessness, we are pretty miserable ....

And i am sorry u had to go though sometimes terrible, and i am happy to hear that still u believe that there are more good men then bad , but still because of the mentality people have these days , we always have the burden to prove ourselves, men are demonized and that's the reason its normal to hear phrases like " men are trash " , we can't say " women are trash " that would be offensive but the prior one isn't ? ,  like if i were to generalize and say, " we shouldn't trust women and always be vigilant around women because they are gold-diggers and are just after ur money " , many women would be offended by this statement , but its the same , some women are just after your money, but i am not gonna just assume for safety that every women i meet is a golddigger , that wouldn't be fair , unless they show some sigh that she might be one ..

being vigilant is fine , but generalizing is not , its very common in social media and in this story for instance, saying men might attack , instead of a bad person might attrack or some bad men might attract, all this generalization is doing is ,  filling the young generation with fear and disgust for opposite gender , that's not fair .....
Yes men are mostly the one assaulting, but men are also the ones doing most of the protecting , we stop them , so shouldn't we get some points for thats , we are gonna get nowhere, if its becomes okay to bash one gender for no reason, because there are few bad apples , we should work together... For i care , we should hang those bad apples , give them the most painful death , but good men suffering because of few bad apples , I can't support that ....
@Shadow laws  I understand your frustration but you direct it in the wrong direction. Feminism is not at fault, the system is.
I wonder where are you from, talking about quotas and stuff like that. Sounds very American to me. In the world outside of the west it's still pretty common for women to be treated like a second class, so I can't share your frustration about feminism as a whole. In my country there are no quotas and it is still expected from a woman to work a day job and then come home and clean, cook and take care of the children. Men also work the same tiring day job, but then they usually have a luxury to come home and actually rest, instead of working a second shift at home. And my country is more or less okay. I'm not even talking about places where women can't walk alone, because they would be kidnapped or raped, or can't walk without covering their faces, or can't get a job and have to rely on their husband's income.

I can understand your feelings about modern feminism to some extent. I've seen enough hypocrits who say they are feminists, but then go and do some misogynistic hatefull things to the women they dislike. But in this case you should criticise hypocrisy, not feminism. Till this day the core idea stays the same — equal rights and possibilities.
@Shadow laws  The problem with demonisation on the social media is the problem with the social media, actually. Everything there is super magnified, distorted and radicalised. If you are heartbroken, and you liked a video about woman hating her ex, you are gonna get a whole feed filled with toxic thoughts and experiences just like this. If you are a guy, who can't get a girlfriend for a long time, and you are searching for advices, then sooner or later you will see in your feed «dating experts» who would say that ra** is actually an option. Nowadays people are so chronically online, that it messes with everything in their everyday life. Instead of processing stress and emotions people vent them to the internet for everyone to watch, which creates an extremely toxic environment. People should just go and touch some grass at this point, idk.
It's totally okay to not be okay with gold diggers, and if anyone gets offended, so what? You can't please everyone, there will always be people who just doesn't like you, and they will come up with a bunch of different excuses to make you feel miserable. It's not like she could sue you for not paying for her dinner, so why even care?
Plus, I don't think you should compare the impacts of these two cases directly. While gold diggers are extremely harmfull, they take your money, not your life or dignity. And you can still protect yourself from them, making marriage contracts or not marrying them at all, so they won't have any rights for your property.
@Shadow laws  In the same time even in 2024 women and children are more likely to be targeted by criminals and this a reality we have to acknowledge and be prepared for. I'm not offending my neighbours by locking my door and I'm not offending people by choosing to walk on a lively street with lights. And if walking at night I'll find someone as creepy, I won't offend them by running away. Because it's better to be safe then sorry. That person may be an innocent passerby, but I have only one life, and I cherish it a lot.

Think about another example. If you are attending a school and you know someone, who is not a sociable person. You also know that they post some hatefull things on their social media and even joke about killing teachers and classmates. Wouldn't that give you an ick? You would probably try to talk with school psychologist about this or maybe report to the police or some kind of hotline, or change schools, or, idk, try something else. This person may be perfectly fine or just depressed. Or maybe not. Maybe they are really trying to buy a gun and fulfill everything they write about. How could you know? You can't read their mind, but you can prepare yourself for the worst scenario. If nothing happens that's great, but if something does happen, you will be able to survive. There are so many stories about school shooting, that I would definitely prefer to mistakenly offend someone than be brutally killed. Not fair, but life is never fair.

@Shadow laws I do  agree with you on one point though. We can't make world better by fighting against each other. That's why it's so important to understand why certain people say certain things. Labels are often misused and misunderstood, and your understanding of feminism is clearly different from mine. That's why you should never judge people by the labels, or make assumptions about what they believe in. Does this person understand what this label means? Do they sincerely believe in this ideology or just use it as a tool? Are they consistent, do they lie? Do they have double standards? What problems they are trying to solve and what means they choose for this? Understanding helps us target the core of the problem, instead of engaging in meaningless fights with each other.
@Spinach i am from india , and yes like i said rural area , feminine atleast the old days feminism is extremely needed there , but the things is , its hard to change people's mind there so feminist won't target those areas , instead they scream in cities , where everything is basically eqal , and that second shift things, well men do it too , there are " mens job " like they say , but we don't get credit for that , like fixing something, cleaning the garden , cleaning toilet, or doing the heavy marketing, heavy lifting, basically being the driver if they don't know how to drive etc ... Are u from rural or urban area ? , what rights don't u still have ? And if u country is doing fine then , i am certain there most be push from the government to better women life , and five them jobs and stuff , but u won't find anything for men ....
@Spinach well i do agree with most of what u are saying, but do u know that crimes , like traficers and in organised crimes , women are also heavily involved in those , they are luring other women and children, because people trust women more with children or a hoax of a opportunity, so if u are talking about crime in larger scale , then its " bad people" doing bad things, but just " bad men " , we should be fighting against the crime or a gender .
