Don't worry, because Ash is different from Karlyle. While Karlyle would rather abandon everything for fear of future suffering, Ash's personality is more about getting what he wants. Once Ash figures out his own feelings he won't let anyone else have Karlyle. He will do anything for him.

And also, the terrorist attack ties in with the chapter where Karlyle and Ash watched a movie. Karlyle said he would die trying to save the one he loved, and Ash said they would rather die with them.

I understand it may seem like too much, but it will make sense further down the road. The manhwa is a long way to be caught up to the novel so here is a little spoiler: Ash is actually the possessive type. He unconsciously wants to monopolize Karlyle. It will take a while to become apparent but the journey will be worth it. :3

Go back and read chapter 4. Karlyle asked Ash the same thing when they were at the movies. He said he wanted to treat him properly.
